Running Up alerts

Velocity alerts. Catches momentum before the HOD break.

Overview

Running Up fires when a ticker is moving fast in a short window, without yet breaking the session high. It is often the earlier of the two signals, surfacing momentum a few seconds before HOD breaks. You can trade either alert. You can trade both.

Each alert prepends to the Running Up panel, flashes the row gold, and plays its own distinct sound. The two alert types share the row visual style but use different audio cues so you can tell them apart by ear.

How it works

The scanner watches each ticker's velocity over a rolling window: percent move per second, plus tape volume confirmation. When velocity exceeds threshold and volume confirms, the alert fires. Thresholds live in the scanner profile and are hot-loaded, so tuning changes during the session take effect without a restart.

Percent move per second exceeds the profile threshold in the rolling window.

Ticker passes the same eligibility checks as the other panels.
