Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Overview

PureTrace is a small cap momentum scanner for active day traders. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. We aim to be straightforward about our data practices.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect the email address and password you provide. When you start a paid plan, our payment processor collects billing information on our behalf; we do not store full card numbers.

Cookies and Analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies and analytics tools to understand which marketing channels bring visitors to PureTrace and whether those visitors go on to start a trial. This helps us decide where to spend on advertising. None of this data is sold.

First-party cookies we set

  • pt_visitor: a randomly generated identifier so we can count unique visits and stitch a later signup back to the original visit. Lifetime: 90 days.
  • pt_first_touch: records the source of your first visit, such as the ad campaign or referring site. Lifetime: 90 days.
  • pt_last_touch: records the source of your most recent visit. Lifetime: 30 days.

Analytics and advertising partners

We use the following third parties to measure site usage and the performance of our advertising. Each receives only the data described below.

  • Vercel Analytics: anonymous, aggregated page-load and performance metrics. No cookies, no personal identifiers.
  • Google Ads: when you arrive from a Google ad, we may share a hashed version of your email and the click identifier from the ad URL so that Google can report whether the ad led to a trial. We never share your raw email or password.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram): when you arrive from a Meta ad, we may share a hashed version of your email and the click identifier from the ad URL with Meta for the same reason as above.
  • Reddit Ads: when you arrive from a Reddit ad, we may share a hashed version of your email and the click identifier from the ad URL with Reddit for the same reason as above.

Hashing is one-way: the providers receive an irreversible string derived from your email, not the email itself. This is how the advertising platforms close the loop on which campaigns work without them holding your address in plain text.

Your choices

  • You can clear the cookies above at any time through your browser settings.
  • Most browsers offer ad-tracking blockers and content-blocking extensions; these will prevent our advertising partners from receiving data about your visit.
  • To request removal of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the scanner.
  • To send transactional email related to your account and billing.
  • To send occasional product updates related to PureTrace.
  • To understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

We will not use your email for unrelated marketing or sell it to third parties.

No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Service Providers

We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the site (such as hosting, database infrastructure, and payment processing). These providers may process data on our behalf, but only as necessary to provide their services and in accordance with their own privacy practices.

Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, contact us to request deletion of your remaining data.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of electronic transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as PureTrace evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
