Built-in charts

Click any row in the Top Gainers, HOD, or Running Up scanner and four charts update at once: 10-second, 1-minute, 5-minute, and daily, all on the same ticker. Each chart carries VWAP and EMA on the price pane and MACD below.

Where the data comes from

The charts run off the same Polygon aggregate feed that powers the scanners. Per-second ticks roll into the 10-second pane in real time; the 1-minute, 5-minute, and daily panes update on each completed bar. Historical bars for the session and the prior day are fetched up front so you don't watch an empty chart fill in.

Timeframes

The 10-second chart shows intraday activity at second-level resolution. It clears between sessions; pre-market and after-hours bars appear in the same pane shaded slightly different. The 1-minute and 5-minute charts cover the current regular session. The daily chart shows the last several months of OHLC for context on the longer-term level.

Indicators

VWAP and a 9-period EMA sit on the price pane on every timeframe. MACD (12 / 26 / 9) is rendered as a separate sub-pane below the price candles. The settings are fixed and not configurable in the current release.

Reading a candle

Each candle shows open / high / low / close for the bar's interval. Green candles closed above their open; red closed below. Wicks show the bar's high and low; the wide body shows the open-to-close range. Volume is not currently rendered on the chart pane; volume lives in the scanner row.

Pre-market and after-hours

Pre-market activity is visible on the 10-second and 1-minute charts starting at 4:00 ET. After-hours bars continue past 4:00 PM ET on the same panes. The daily chart shows regular-session OHLC only.

Indicator definitions

  • VWAP: cumulative sum of (typical price × volume) divided by cumulative volume, reset at session open.
  • EMA(9): exponential moving average over the last 9 closed bars on the chart's timeframe.
  • MACD(12, 26, 9): MACD line = EMA(12) − EMA(26); signal line = EMA(9) of MACD line; histogram = MACD − signal.
