What it does

Every ticker shows the tradeable float: total shares outstanding minus restricted, insider, and treasury holdings. Sourced from the latest SEC filing on file (10-K, 10-Q, S-1 amendments) and reconciled against current market data. Hover any float value to see the source filing and the date it was filed.

How it works

Float values are pulled from the most recent SEC filings for each ticker, parsed against canonical share-class structures, and refreshed when filings amend. Stale values flag visibly so you know when a number is dated.

What makes it different

Most scanners ship estimated or stale float numbers from third-party data providers. On a $2 stock running 80% on a press release, that's the difference between a trade and a disaster. PureTrace shows the number on file, with the date it was filed. If you cannot verify the float, you cannot size the trade. We did the work for you.
